At the beginning, there were eight finalists. Eight Motor Yachts ranging from 29 to 45 feet, jostling for 2014’s coveted title. Were nominated the MC4 by Beneteau, Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts’ Summerland MY 40 LC and the Prestige 450 Fly, catapulting them into the top three spots – but which was awarded the prized top place? The jury deliberated and reached its final decision…. …The Fountaine Pajot Motor Yacht Summerland MY 40 LC is this year’s winner!   A CATAMARAN WITH SPACE AND STYLE Leading the way for the La Rochelle shipyard Fountaine Pajot’s Motor Yachts range, the Summerland MY 40 LC has topped the tables in the liveable boats category. Some members of our panel were taking their first forays into the world of catamarans, and were impressed with the spaciousness of the boat’s interior, its stability and its navigational performance, especially in the choppy conditions we were exposed to. The three stunning double cabins were a unanimous hit, with an owner’s cabin located on the starboard hull boasting a “sea view”. The sleek, contemporary interior design was also much appreciated. Its moderate energy consumption, autonomy and 40% less fuel consumption compared to monohulls as well as its responsiveness despite its 10-tonne weight combined to tip the scales in its favour. “Incomparable on-board comfort, spacious cabins and a big, single-storey saloon…” Anaël Martin – Moteur Boat reader    “It would be difficult to find a better catamaran in terms of pleasurable on-board experience, stability and manoeuvrability.” J.-Y. Poirier – Equipment specialist
