As if a reminder were needed, Fountaine Pajot is one of the pioneers in the design of motor yachts, with hulls specially conceived to suit cruising for several days at a time, with all the advantages that this design provides: low fuel consumption, stability and smooth sailing. In addition to her intelligent hull design, the MY6, the big sistership among the Fountaine Pajot Motor Yachts range, has many other cards up her sleeve.
As well as providing great levels of comfort both under way or at anchor, the shape of the hulls allows each of them to house attractive cabins. Aboard the version we visited in Cannes, the MY6 offers a very large “owner’s” cabin on the port side, running the full length of the hull, with a private bathroom and a dedicated relaxation/work area. On the other side, to starboard, you’ll find two generously sized guest cabins, again each with a toilet and shower area. A skipper’s cabin forward, accessible directly from the saloon near the helm station, completes the picture. In short, the MY6 can sleep up to 6 people (excluding the crew cabin) in total comfort and with a standard of privacy that only multihulls can offer.
Having checked out the cabins, the MY6 continues to offer some great features. In addition to the spacious central saloon with its open galley and 360-degree panoramic view, there are numerous areas for relaxing and socialising. These include the forward cockpit with sunbathing areas, the aft cockpit with its hydraulic platform, and of course the flybridge, the main feature of this model. Once again, the flybridge features a mini galley with fridge for preparing cocktails, sun-loungers, a large saloon table and a second helm station. This is ideally located, giving you an unobstructed view around the horizon yet keeping you connected to the rest of the crew, so everyone can enjoy life on board together.
